I stayed in Poland with the foundation for 1 year and it was an experience that taught me both professionally and personally. During this time, I gained practical experience in working on different projects, teamwork in a multicultural environment, and improved my communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. I also learned how to organize activities more effectively and work with people from different cultural backgrounds.

My typical day usually included planning activities, coordinating tasks, working with the team, supporting events or workshops, and reflecting on what we achieved together. As an outgoing and social person, I especially enjoyed activities that allowed me to interact with people. My favorite experiences were CATventure and EduCAT, as well as events in the city center, where I had the chance to communicate with different people, share ideas, and represent my culture in a dynamic and engaging way.

Volunteering changed me by making me more open-minded, independent, and flexible. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow as a person. One of the biggest challenges was adapting to a new environment and adjusting to different working styles and cultural differences, but overcoming these barriers taught me patience and resilience.

What I am taking back to my country is not only new knowledge and professional experience, but also a broader perspective, stronger confidence, and many inspiring ideas that I can apply in my future work with young people. What I will remember for a long time are the people I met, the cultural exchange, the shared experiences, and the feeling of being part of something meaningful that creates positive impact.

I would definitely recommend ESC volunteering to young people who want to grow personally and professionally, explore new cultures, and make meaningful international connections.
